Rewarding Results at the 2018 Access Bank Group CEO Awards

Lagos, 02 June, 2018 – Employees are the backbone of any organisation. When  employees are not rewarded for the positive results they produce, the organisation begins to see a decline in operational activities.

The Access Bank 2018 Group CEO Awards was an Afro Infused Black-Tie event, held at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos  played host to major players in Nigeria’s business world, staff, vendors and friends of Access Bank, who came out in style and glam to join Access Bank in celebrating members of staff who have phenomenally contributed to the Bank’s success in the previous financial year.

In line with the bank’s vision to be the  Most Respected bank brand in Africa,  the 2018 Group CEO awards was designed to boost employee morale and loyalty with the aim of increasing organisational productivity. The event supports Access bank’s recruitment campaign, employee engagements and recognizes the efforts of their high performing employees across the continent.

Access Bank Group Managing Director, Herbert Wigwe during his speech commended staff for their zealous work throughout the year, noting that the bank cares, not only for their work productivity, but also their life’s productivity.

“We don’t need magic to do great things,” he said.

Among the many awards given out were the Teller of the Year and Star Manager of the Year awards. The most coveted and desired ‘CEO Employee of the year Award’ went to Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan while the Accelerate TV News host, Mojibade Sosanya received the Access Bank Group Brand Ambassador Award.

The event wouldn’t have been as epochal without the Access Bank staff who stormed the stage after the event was over to flaunt their dance moves for the entertainment of guests

The after party was truly a time to let go, as everyone got the chance to shake off the pressure of work and have fun.
